Overview
Budget App helps users plan and track their finances. This policy explains what information Budget App collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to users.
Information we collect
- Account information, including your name, email address, password hash, role, and session information.
- Financial information you enter, including income, budgets, expenses, debts, payment plans, savings goals, currencies, dates, and notes.
- Invitation and email-delivery information needed to invite users and send salary-planning reminders.
- Basic technical logs generated by the hosting service to keep the app reliable and secure.
Budget App does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, SMS messages, or advertising identifier.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the budgeting features you request, authenticate your account, calculate financial summaries, deliver invitations and reminders, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain the security of the service. Budget App does not sell personal information or use financial information for advertising.
Service providers
Budget App relies on service providers acting on its behalf, including Railway for application and database hosting and Resend for transactional email delivery. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes, and login sessions use HTTP-only cookies. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should choose a unique password and protect access to their devices.
Retention and deletion
Account information and your financial records are retained while the account is active. You can permanently delete your account from Profile > Delete Account. This removes your account, active sessions, invitations tied to your account, transactions, budgets, income, expenses, debts, savings, and other records linked to it.
If you cannot access the app, use the public account-deletion page to request deletion. Limited information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance, and will be deleted when that purpose no longer applies.
Children
Budget App is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
